About Us

Millan Waters is situated in North Kent, near the village of Iwade, close to the Isle of Sheppey and within easy reach of the A249, M20 and M2. The lake is between 6 and 7 acres and enjoys excellent water quality throughout the season. The syndicate is a "members only" water (limited member guest tickets are available by prior agreement) and no fishing is available to the general public.

This syndicate water has been in existence for many years and has a very loyal membership. There is an abundance of bushes and trees around the lake itself which provides prolific insect life throughout the season. Depths vary but a highlight is a deep channel which provides cooler water in the summer months when water temperatures rise which often causes problems at other fisheries.

Regular stockings are made consisting of rainbow & brown trout, creating a unique fishing facility in this area. Rainbows and Browns are stocked into double figures with the current fishery record standing at 21lb 10oz and Brown record of 15lb. In addition a small number of Blue trout have been introduced. All Browns and Blues are strictly “catch and release” only. Catch and release is widely practiced by the membership and full details regarding allowances in respect of fish killed can be found under "Rules".

Join Us

There is a joining fee payable, currently £100.00. An annual subscription at present is £345.00, but both these figures are revised annually in the light of the cost of renting the lake, cost of fish, and anticipated stocking requirements.

A visit to the lake prior to commitment for membership can be arranged at a mutually agreeable time. Please peruse our Gallery to ascertain what you can anticipate and contact Gordon Dickson for more details - we still have some places available for the 2018/2019 season

A long standing member, Bob Goble, is a licensed game-angling instructor who can be booked at a cost to provide friendly, relaxed tuition for beginners and improvers on a one to one basis. Bob can be contacted by phone on 01474 352653 or mobile on 07743 054711, or email:This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Our “members only” area of the website is password protected and upon joining, new members will be set up with their unique password which will allow them access to detailed returns which are compiled on a monthly basis. A monthly News update can also be accessed to keep members fully advised of fishing activities, stockings, successful fly patterns etc. Each members also receives three Newsletters each season providing full details of returns etc in a email / electronic format.

The fishery has it's own car park, returns hut and several small boats for members use if fishing afloat is desirable. Fishing platforms are well established around the lake and members can enjoy 12 months “all year” fishing under a season subscription, with no restriction on the number of visits they can make in a season. Seasons commence 1st April annually.

We hold our AGM each January in the Woolpack in Iwade, where a buffet is provided following the meeting itself where members can raise any issues. There is also the presentation of the season to date trophies which are awarded annually.
